No new development or trailers allowed on Hastings Drive.             


Following a lengthy Ontario Municipal Board hearings and months of review, the decision has finally been released regarding the highly debated lands in Long Point.          


Citing the nature of the hazard land and public safety, Blair S. Taylor ruled that no development can be built and that trailers can't be parked on the subject lands whatsoever.        


People can still go an access the water and the county has an option to potentially build a park on one of their properties but that's where it ends.        


Existing cottage owners will remain as they are considered legal non-conforming, but they can not build anything additional on their land.          

Back in 2016 council had made a motion to allow trailers on the hazard lands.
